While you don’t\u00a0have <\/em>to be a member to attend the meetings, membership dues & 86th St beautification donations make it possible for the Council to host public meetings, contribute to the upkeep of the 86th St medians, and host an Annual Meeting for the community.\u00a0<\/p>

If you are\u00a0within the NCC area* and would like to\u00a0become a part of\u00a0Nora Council, fill out a\u00a0membership form (soon to be available here) and mail with your check to the address at the bottom of the document.\u00a0\u00a0If you are\u00a0outside the NCC area, you are welcome to become a contributing member.<\/p>

Another way is to pick up a postcard at a monthly Board Meeting that has information on becoming a member.<\/div>

Annual membership is $25 at the Family or Religious Organization and $50 for a business\/Professional\/Neighborhood Group.\u00a0 \u00a0<\/div>

Nora-Northside Community Council (NCC) can continue to be a vital part in keeping your greater Nora-Northside area a good and very special community where one can live, work, and raise a family.<\/p>\n

How does NCC help make your community special?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Since 1967,  NCC has provided a regular monthly public forum and many special meetings for citizens to hear and respond to issues of great concern.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

NCC has\u00a0obtained and shared information\u00a0with and acted as a liaison to\u00a0over\u00a060\u00a0local neighborhood associations under the NCC umbrella.<\/p>

The\u00a0beautiful boulevard design of 86th Street\u00a0would have been a six-lane concrete cut through your community had it not been for NCC.\u00a0 The landscaping and sidewalks came from NCC\u2019s leadership and perseverance. NCC was also the FIRST to develop an adoption program for the maintenance of the landscaped medians.\u00a0<\/p>

The\u00a0integrity of the residential neighborhoods and success of commercial nodes\u00a0in the area reveal NCC\u2019s commitment to protect and promote the viability and quality of life of your community.<\/span><\/p>

Everyone loves the\u00a0Monon Trail\u00a0\u2014 now.\u00a0 But it took NCC\u2019s leadership to convince the City-County Council to save the Right-of-Way when it was abandoned.\u00a0 NCC members have served on greenways committees and planning groups to\u00a0promote linear parks\u00a0in your community long before the public even knew there was such an issue.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
