NCC’s annual Tree Day is Saturday, April 21, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. (but only while supplies last) at Nora Plaza.
This year, Nora-Northside Community Council, Inc.’s gift to the public is the Black Haw tree, a small Indiana native species and a member of the Viburnum family. It’s been described as “a handsome tree with nice flowers, fruit, nice foliage, and bright red leaves in the fall”.
Please be sure to stop by the event tent at 1300 E. 86th St. (southwest of Starbucks and the Firestone store) (AFTER 9 A.M.). THOSE WHO PAY YEAR 2012 NCC MEMBERSHIPS AT THE EVENT WILL RECEIVE A SPECIAL GIFT.
